Dinner in the Park

Dinner in the Park at Matua Park is a great way to spend your Sunday evening with family or friends. It’s an equally delicious spin-off of Dinner in the Domain. You can expect to find a huge variety delicious street food, beverages, and some lovely live music!

The Extravaganza Fair

The Extravaganza Fair is a fabulous travelling event taking place in the lovely Mount Maunganui, a 15 minute drive from Tauranga. The fair is a family affair, it is a free entry, fun day out with something for everyone.

You can enjoy a unique style of interesting market stalls, arts and craft, food, musical entertainment, circus shows, performers, unique to NZ tiny homes, including open home and kids shows & games. There are sack races, tug of wars & musical bean bags & you can be in to win prizes!

Tauranga Village Night Market

What’s better than unwinding on a Friday evening in the summertime with a little music? The Tauranga Night Market offers a line up of food stalls, local Arts and craft stalls and the sound of music, vegan and vegetarian-friendly options abound. Downtown Carnival: Tauranga City Comes Alive with Jazz

Downtown Tauranga is the place to be this Easter with two days of music and entertainment that will keep you dancing all weekend!

With multiple stages along the Strand, extending through the new Wharf Street Precinct and Red Square, there is music for everyone to enjoy from jazz, swing, blues and funk.

Keep the kids happy at the Family Fun Zone at the waterfront, stroll around the city shops, then grab a seat at one of Downtown’s many fine bars and restaurants to enjoy a tantalising meal with your jazz!

A Vintage Car Parade on Saturday at 11am and Little Big Markets on Sunday 10am-2pm all add to the Downtown Carnival atmosphere.

City Art Walk – Tauranga

If you are an art lover, you’ll love this one! A new app-based public art walk was launched in Tauranga in October, with the aim of bringing people back into the inner city and connecting them with local stories, artists and artworks.

City Art Walk is a self-guided tour of 20 artworks located in Tauranga’s city centre. At around an hour, visitors can wander Tauranga’s streets and laneways.

The tour is free of charge. Audiences can download the free mobile app beforehand, or at any of the artworks via an on-site QR code. Each entry in the app gives an insight into the artwork and the artist who created it.

Accessible 24/7, City Art Walk is a fun way to experience Tauranga’s exceptional public art art. The City Art Walk app is available on both iOs and Android, via the Google Play and Apple stores.
